Is there a greater joy in life than plowing through an entire season or series of a good TV show on DVD? I say there is not. Even though I’ve already seen it, I’m working my way through How I Met Your Mother (season 2) right now.

LeBron's Facial Reaction is that of a Man Who Realizes He Has Wally Szczerbiak on his Team
Cavs 112 Magicians 102 – Hey Magic…I’d win Game 6 if I were you. LeBron James once again proved that he’s better at basketball than you’ll ever be at anything you do – recording his 4th career playoff triple double, scoring 37 points with 14 rebounds and 12 assists – in leading the Cavs to a Game 5 win and staving off elimination.
Orlando actually rallied from as many as 22 points down to take a 1 point lead into the fourth quarter before the Cavs pulled away. I bet you’ll never guess who the catalyst for the 4th quarter surge was. Whoever that guy is scored 17 points in the 4th. But what separated this game from others in the series was actual production from the Cleveland supporting cast. Mo Williams cracked the 20 point mark for the first time since Game 1 of the Atlanta series, Delonte West and Zydrunas Ilgauskas both hit double figures, and Daniel Gibson flashed back to his ’07 playoff form by scoring in double figures for the first time since the final regular season contest.
As for the Magicians, Hedo Turkoglu again proved himself more than worthy of a Nike puppet (I’d say pre-nose job, Louie) leading Orlando with 29 points. Dwight Howard added 24 but managed to foul out for the 3rd time in the 5 game series. Skip to my Lou followed his 26 point Game 4 performance with just 3 points on 1 of 10 shooting – in other words he was about as consistent as someone who spent his early 20’s making And1 mix-tapes…wait.
Game 6 is coming up on Saturday. Mark my words – if Orlando doesn’t finish off this series in Game 6 in Orlando they will have to buy a ticket for the NBA Finals. LeBron is playing just well enough that he actually might be able to win this alone.
Fun Facts:
- Horrible human being and crash test dummy Ben Roethlisberger was at the game. This makes him the biggest turncoat since Moondog.
- Also in attendance were A-Rod, CC Sabathia, Mariano Rivera, Jay-Z, and this guy:

Game 6 of the Lakers/Nuggets is Friday. I’ll be working for the weekend (thanks Loverboy) while Denver is working to keep it’s season alive.
TV on DVD watching is as close as most of us (other than Zim) come to a crippling addiction. Yeah, it’s a Tuesday, and yeah, you just watched three episodes, and yeah, it’s 1 am, but there’s still an episode left on this disc and we need to know about the Guatemalans and the hand grenades. We just do. Resistance if futile.
