I’m a little late on the Nightcap today due to a nice run-in with a few Jager bombs. Thus my Memorial Day is consisting of a whole lot of nothing. Don’t judge me.
Magicians 99 Cavs 89 – Think the Magic were a little sick of seeing LeBron James’ game winner from Game 2? Orlando came out tough and physical – including Anthony Johnson dropping an elbow to the eye of Mo Williams – and won Game 3. The Cleveland offense was about as anemic as possible – shooting just 37% from the field and 19% from three. Even LeBron fell back to earth a little bit, although he put up 41 points but did so on just 11 of 28 shooting (1 of 8 from three). Orlando wasn’t actually much better, but they had just enough to win. Superman led the Magicians with 24 – most of which came from the free throw line – but the Turkish Jordan shot just 1 of 11 from the field.
I’m having a hard time deciding whether Cleveland is sleep walking through this series or if they just aren’t that good. After blowing big leads in the first two games of the series, they never really had control in Game 3 and now trail the series 2 games to 1. Game 4 is on Tuesday – and if Orlando came somehow win this game I’d advise Nike to get the specs going on a Dwight Howard puppet.
Lakers-Nuggets Game 4 is in just a couple of hours. This one will decide whether the series goes 5 games or 7. Enjoy the Black Mamba.
