Cavaliers 105 Hawks 85 – From dictionary.com – Mismatch – “to match badly or unsuitably.” What more is there to say about this series? Cleveland ran their post-season record to 6-0 (all wins by double-digits) and this one was over by half-time. When Wally Szczerbiak puts up 17 points, its likely time for the Hawks to start concentrating more on those summer vacation plans. Atlanta, already without Al Horford and Marvin Williams, lost Joe Johnson to an ankle injury in the 3rd quarter and he did not return. Not like the series could get even worse, but if Joe Johnson is out or even limited for Game 3 the Hawks might lose by two-hundred and forty. The King himself was up to his old tricks, putting up 27 points despite not playing a second in the 4th quarter. James also gave us this fancy little pass:
– No 2nd game tonight, so I’ll take this time to note that May 7th was the 20th anniversary of Jordan over Ehlo in the ’89 playoffs. ESPN First Take did a rather enjoyable interview with Ehlo this morning who seems to have a pretty good sense of humor about the whole thing. Personally I was hoping he’d be horribly bitter and/or confess to re-watching the clip on a constant loop since his 1997 retirement, guess that’s only in my dreams.
Celtics-Magic and Lakers-Rockets switch venues for respective Game 3’s tomorrow. I’ll go Magic, Lakers…you can take that to the bank…or something like that.
